SXPF Pottery Festival Exhibition

Current: An Exhibition of The Southern Cross Pottery Festival

January 4th through January 27th, 2019

Much like the flow of the Ohio River — the steady current traveling state to state and the impact it has on Louisville — contemporary craft is very much the same.
Southern Crossings Pottery Festival’s Potters Market highlights some of the top local and regional artists, as well as several nationally recognized potters.
This exhibition is a preview of the twelve 2019 exhibiting artists, with select pieces that highlight the artists’ current interests in form, surface, and concepts.
In addition to the 2019 SXPF potters Ewa Perz will also be joining the SXPF exhibition this year showcasing her pottery-inspired paintings.

2019 SXPF Potters include:
Jason Bige Burnett, Kyle Carpenter, Amy Chase, Steven G Cheek, Jim Gottuso, Kristen Kieffer, David Kenton Kring, Courtney Martin, Didem Mert, Lindsay Oesterritter, Lindsay Rogers, Amelia Stamps

Southern Crossings Pottery Festival’s focus is on the significance of handmade pottery by celebrating the object, it’s maker, and the utilitarian use in nourishing ourselves and those around us. The two-day festival includes a market consisting of handmade goods and functional wares, and an Empty Bowls fundraising event. For additional information on these events, please visit
